Honestly would love to see you go in a completely different orchestral direction with something more slow and less percussive.

Santi-Montali responds:

Yeah me too lol, but I do have different music tho. This one was conceived like it is so I wasn't going to radically change to a happy song in between I guess

Mix feels a bit rough around the edges.

NemesisTheory responds:

Did you listen to it at MAX VOLUME?
Never fails! 🤘😋

Damn those are some spicy chords. Stereo bass is definitely an interesting choice.

JoeStasi responds:

Thank you I put a lot of thought into the chords so I'm glad you enjoyed them. I feel like I hear the same saw stereo bass in so many songs but perhaps I should make all the low frequencies 100% mono in the master as opposed to about 80% mono which is what I used in this track I think

Love the sounds on this. It does feel a bit too loud for the vibe it's trying to go for though. Where did you get the sounds for this track?

Samuel-Mossa responds:

drum samples from splice, everything else is my own sound design

Sounds like dark sky mixed with her wings. Like the new liquid feel you're going for. It does feel like the track lacks a sense of progression of where things are going to go though.

Samuel-Mossa responds:

this was sorta my "trial run" of a new style so I wasn't too focused on the arrangement, but I agree it is sorta random

Can we appreciate the fact that this absolute legend is still replying to reviews left on a track that's 9 years old.

LLAAPPSSEE responds:

A part of my brain reeeeally wanted to never respond to this here comment. :P

This is more ambient than pop.

Bitbeak responds:

Thought the beat was a little fast to call it ambient, but I'll concede it's debatable ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks for listening!

Really like this track! How did you make the drums? I've been trying to get that sound and it's been stumping me for a while.

Samuel-Mossa responds:

There are done with multiple samples and loops put together and processed with compression, eq, etc. Also the limiter on the master has a really fast release in order to make the drums hit harder.

This just sounds like a super dirty really long breakdown lmao. I ain't feeling the edge m8

Quarl responds:

I guess I'll just have to make it even edgier next time.

How did you make the sounds for this?

Vista-Sound13 responds:

I didn't make the sounds (except the pencil sound effect), I put a degraded effect on the master track to get that GBA-ish feel.

Also, I hope you liked this track, buddy. :)
